Storehouse Furniture Liquidation

On Thursday, October 5, the WSJ annouced that Storehouse furniture's parent company was filing for bankruptcy, meaning SH needed a new owner, pronto. Looks like that new owner never stepped up and now Storehouse is offically annoucing its liquidation sale. I stopped by the store in Bethesda, but couldn't even get in (there was a 1 hour wait!) as shoppers were overwhelming the staff. Discounts of 10%-30% inside, which doesn't seem like much, but apparently is enough to spark a small riot. The sale is not reflected on line, but as far as I know, is taking place at all area stores simultaneously. Good luck!

The Corcoran has had many famous graduates, but none have ever been so revered by the fashion-loving public as Tim Gunn. The Dean of the Parsons School acts as the single mentor to all of PR's contestants has been called the "sanest man in reality tv." SDC was on hand to cover his talk at the Corcoran . You also can read his live chat with the Washington Post where he dishes on where to buy fabulousness for less, who can pull off the skinny pant suit and what he really thinks of crocks. (Hint: ugh.)
